The IB Academies, which this year are taking place in Mexico City, Mexico and Miami, Florida, USA, provide four and a half days of intense training to prepare participants to become workshop leaders, site visitors and consultants.

The first Academy will be held in Mexico City, Mexico, from 29 August through 3 September, 2010. The language of instruction at this Academy will be Spanish, and will run for the Primary Years Programme, the Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme.

The second Academy will be held in Miami, Florida from 27 October through 1 November, 2010.  The language of instruction at this Academy will be English, and will run for the Primary Years Programme and the Middle Years Programme only; Diploma Programme training will not be offered at this Academy.

Some of the criteria for selection would be geographical location, years of IB experience, position at school, years working in the IB, to name a few. Please don’t be discouraged if your application  does not match our current needs. Once you apply, the software will hold your application active for three years and it will be considered for all future training within that time period. Our needs are constantly changing.
